Day 306
Jamric got a Crown Graphic and we tested it today. Very excited. It came with a 137 lens AND an extra lens...a 203...perfect for portraits. Haven't shot polaroid in a while. So pretty.

The Holidays are coming!
Just when I thought It was the beginning of Fall, I blinked and I see Christmas everywhere. I say it every year...I will be ready for Christmas early. It seems like I am never early enough with my designing!
I have tons of ideas! I sometimes wish I could employ the little elves I am designing. If they could only stay up late and sew for me! And maybe help with the cleaning also!!
I just finished a Mommy & Baby doll for a dear friend the other day. There are actually 2 dolls, one for each of her little girls. They are done in Shabby colored fabrics. The baby doll is removable...so much fun!

Many Make Ones
I recently took some better photos of these projects I made at MSU in a photography class. It was by far my favorite project, probably ever. And it's one of those things I keep telling myself to do again. I hope to flesh out this section of my portfolio more. But in the meantime, at least I have these down electronically with room to expand.

Flash Forward
So this show is coming off pretty cheesy or unsurprising when It's supposed to be. I'm thinking it's meant for LOST fans. Not nearly as great as lost.. but I'm watching it anyway.
Watch hulu before they start charging you!
But, do take a look at the opening scene of episode 4, I thought it was a pretty good lead in. Anyone know who's singing the song?

No pretty pictures on this post
But it's still inspiring if you read.
I wanted to share a site that I found to be an instant intrigue for me.
I'm the type of person that forms an opinion very quickly, possibly too quickly. I have no attention span, if it were up to me to hire designers it would be rough for anyone to get through my judgement. I wouldn't even make it. I'm not saying I dislike most everything, just that if you don't put the best thing in front of me before any other visual image, then I'll move along in less than 10 seconds. That first impact is everything!
But, I think with the computer age - more and more people are equally as distracted.
So at the same time, I'm not sure why I instantly love this. Because there's not a whole lot of very mature and organized design going on. Maybe that's exactly why it draws my interest.
1. It's called Barstool Romantic. the name itself already scores a few cool points.
2. The about link reads "The Barstool Romantic celebrates the wanderers, explorers, vagabonds, beats, carousers, rebels, hell-raisers and originals of the world. Those great ideas of freedom and the open road; drinking, laughing and loving like hell; getting out there and into it."
My thoughts: Right on... amazing.. this is what I'm dreaming, living, and striving to live like daily. I value freedom and curiosity for the world way too much.
Scroll down a bit.
3. “ I am sending you
postcards from a place
where I am not.
We’re not tourists, we’re travelers
a tourist is someone who
thinks about going home the
moment they arrive
whereas a traveler
might not come
back at all.”
Paul Bowles, The Sheltering Sky
BAM!
i love you.
4. oh but wait.. there's also a Diane Arbus photo further down the stream... affirmed!
p.s. I found it through Joanna Goddard's blog.

Look at all of these Cute Bunnies!
BettyBeatrix!
This girl I've never met, but I may have seen her around town and not known who she was. We live in the same town, and every day I am amazed at how many great and talented people live here. But Elise is one I'm feeling is specially gifted, and probably someone who's a lot of fun to be around.
You can buy on etsy and read about it in more detail on her blog.
Her Etsy store will have these blue kitties later on...!!!!
Ingenious!!!
These earrings are made with real oranges. They are dried, and varnished, so they're not going to make your neck sticky. You can buy them here on etsy. I'm waiting for smaller citrus varieties!

It's Ok My Dear
"For the romantic, adventurous, precious, and rare woman of a fantastical daydream."
Ashley Cheeks is the designer behind It's Ok My Dear. I don't know about sewing, but I do consider myself a lover of women's clothing. What she's been doing is a stand out, and it's all together pretty, unique, and adorable, but also a little daring - and definitely quirky.
Please do treat yourself, and check out her other fashions on Etsy! You'll fall in love!
And it doesn't hurt to have amazing photo work to showcase her pieces!
