I promised myself that I would start a blog this summer. It is my last day off. You see Monday I start back to school. I am a middle school art teacher (Yes, I wonder why myself sometimes).
I must admit, as great as summer has been, I am always a little excited to see those new faces sitting in my classroom. I hope this year will be a wonderful one. One of the things I am not looking forward to is going to bed earlier at night so that I can get up at 5 A.M. each day!
I am an artist for as long as I can remember. I had a little friend named Kathy who lived down the street from me in Williamsville, NY. We use to have competitions to see who could draw the best of anything...then run to our moms and ask who won...Poor moms!! Funny thing, she became an artist also.
I now have a 7 year old daughter who is sweet, energetic, artistic, and means the world to me! I also have a husband who is the most talented musician I have ever met. The man sings like an angel...but I know better!
Thanks for hearing me out. Now it's time to figure out how to add pictures of my work.
