Day 248

Yet another alternate shot of my grandfather. Really loving 4x5 still.

Day 247

el2_247

An alternate shot of my grandfather from the farm a while back.

I'm really happy with these portraits.

I'm hoping the 4x5 lens will come in this week and try to squeak a couple in of Caleb and Laura. Did I mention that already?

Day 240

el2_240

Here's another shot from my grandparents' house/farm. They have lived at their current residence for 40 years and the staple, 140 year old tree that has provided amazing shade in the front yard came tumbling down during a recent brief yet powerful storm. This is a shot of my grandparents in front of the remaining stump. If you look at the fence you can see where part has been replaced from this beast falling on it (on the left).

Day 238

el2_238

Hopped up to Nashville Sunday night for the Damien Jurado show (with The Weiss Family—a group that is more and less than mewithouYou) and on the way we stopped by to see my grandparents. Here's a frame of my Granddad. I still have a few to scan, but I like this one just fine.

Man, I'm tired.

Lego 4x5...progress is being made. Lego blocks acquired from Gregory (as mentioned, I think) and Paul and I played with design ideas tonight. I modeled some of them in the Lego Digital Designer. There is a great deal more design and engineering to be done, but surely I will see this project through. Maybe I should concentrate more on getting work than tinkering with Lego.

Oh well.
